To be eligible for an ACE Grant you must be a High School Graduate or have your GED.

Review the list of cosmetology schools enclosed in this package and decide which school is nearest to you.  Then visit the school and let the school know that you are interested in applying for an ACE Grant.

Print the grant application form and complete.  This application form must be returned to the school representative at the school you wish to attend.  This packet also provides you with (2) salon assessment forms that you will need to get filled out by two separate salons in your area. (The school should be able to provide you with a list of salon in the area.) Once this information has been filled out, return it to the school.

Once the school has received all the information, they will determine if you're eligible for an ACE Grant.  The official notification of your eligibility will be sent to you from the Cosmetology Advancement Foundation.

If approved, the school you choose will be able to give you an exact amount of your ACE Grant.  The amount depends upon the cost of the program you selected and the school, which you are attending.  The school representative will explain exactly what the grant will cover and what other expenses you may have to pay for, as well as the other financial aid that is available through the institution.

Depending on the ACE Grant, you will be able to enroll in your school immediately or you may be required to enroll at a later date.  Congratulations, you have a beautiful career ahead of you!
